After an interesting and arduous search to find an apartment, i have secured a three bedroom place in Asian side of Istanbul. it also has a separate living room so me and my german flatmate will try to rent the extra two rooms. the contract is for 1 year, and is in my name. i guess i am here for awhile still. gotta get some furnitures and such but mostly its ready to go. supposed to get the keys on sunday evening. will post pictures when i have them.

Urban strawberry farm in the middle of densely populated Del Ray Beach Florida. very clever set up, in what used to be a strip mall parking lot. if you look closely at the top picture you can see the top bit of a KFC just on the other side. is this the future for all the abandoned strip malls? hope so.

Recently in Florida, i spotted these Snowy Ibis in their natural habitat. next to the swimming pool. i figure maybe these beautiful tropical birds actually benefit from the chlorine in the water, it makes them more snowy white. also, the cooled water of the swimming pool must be refreshing for them

carbon credits are, in essence, a way to justify making more pollution, but paying someone else to make less pollution, supposedly the end result is the same production of pollution. raising pigs is bad for the environment, lots of ground and air pollution. so if i pay someone to eat less bacon, can i justify eating more bacon? i am now selling bacon credits from myself. if you pay me, i will eat proportionally less bacon, and you can eat more of the stuff guilt free. Louis Herman bacon credits cost $5 per half pound per annual quarter.
